Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of a highly classified US special ops unit – known as MACV-SOG – carried a unique combat knife into the jungle on covert missions. Years later, in 1986, that knife inspired a young designer, named Spencer Frazer, to found SOG Specialty Knives.

The SOG TAC XR is designed for professional use with a high-quality carbon steel blade. Can be opened with one hand in three ways, with the thumb stud, the kicker on the back or simply with a wrist movement. Once open, the blade is held in place by the XR Lock. The G10 handle is textured and features an interchangeable pocket clip.
