Kit retired as a Master Sergeant and eventually became a prominent member of the Knifemakers Guild. Kit designed the successful M16® series of knives named one of the top 10 tactical components of the decade by Blade Magazine. In 2012 Kit was inducted into the Cutlery Hall of Fame and his industry influence has been felt far and wide. He even mentored such greats as Ken Onion. Kit passed in 2014. The Carson family is asking for donations to the National Parkinson Foundation at Parkinson.org.

CRKT Carson Special Forces M21-14SF Folding Knife.
Our InterFrame build SFs share a unique design that offers the combination of Carson line features demanded by military purchasing specialists. Deep belly spear blades were specified as they offer maximum strength. The open design allows two Carson Flippers to be built in, resulting in a true handle – very rare in folding knives.
M21™-14SF aluminum. Our SF production aluminum frame is based on custom Kit Carson designs, with contoured radius 6061 T6 black hard anodized aluminum grips. Stainless steel locking inserts with friction grooves provide positive locking. The blade is made of AUS 8 stainless steel with a Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ edge.
The blade, frame and hardware are non-reflective tactical black. The blade has a black titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Branded double checkered thumb studs are standard. Opening and closing with one hand is quick and smooth.
It also features our exclusive patented (1) AutoLAWKS™ automatic safety that automatically turns the folder into a virtual fixed blade.
All knives in this series are equipped with clips that allow four-position carrying on a belt or strap. Warning: These knives are not intended for flip-up carry in a pocket. They are special knives, designed by the military for use in special forces.
