Closing Knife Emerson CQC-45 SF.

The knife features a classic Emerson ergonomic handle design with a proven and timeless Bowie style razor sharp blade. The blade is made of premium Crucible 154CM blade steel, heat treated to an optimal working hardness of Rockwell RC 57-59.

When Les Baer asked me to design a knife to match the CQC-45 pistol, I of course chose the Emerson Nineteen-11 knife, now renamed the CQC-45. From its inception, this knife was designed to embody the simple rugged efficiency of the iconic weapon it is named after. A very famous 1911 historian and gunsmith once said to me, “Ernesti, if John H. Browning could have asked anyone to design a knife to match his gun, he would have chosen you.” A greater compliment could not have been paid to me. If I could live to see even a small part of this compliment in my lifetime, I would be happy.
