The Tanto is not only a change in the shape of the blade from the Butcher, but also features a different handle design with a groove for the second finger. This addition and the slight curve to the overall shape (both not found on the original Butcher) make this knife extremely comfortable to hold and use. It comes with not only an intimidating look, but a set of features that allow it to shine as a tactical and/or survival tool. The Japanese Tanto shape gives you a bit of belly near the tip for slicing, while the flat main edge will absolutely excel at chopping and batoning. It features a ball bearing pivot, a titanium pocket clip on the right roller ball, a replaceable lock insert/travel damper, and an inset Torx screw pin, a signature feature of Andre’s work.
