COLD STEEL revived the already produced and very popular Hold Out folding knife in four blade designs. Compared to the original version, however, he used significantly more noble powder stainless steel S35VN for the knives. This exceptional American steel is not only very stiff and durable, but it can be used to achieve excellent knife sharpness and the blade has a long durability. Very fine-grained powder steel with a uniform microstructure offers very stable properties. It is durable even with a very fine blade facet, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant. It is a good choice for high quality custom knives and tools. The CPM (pseudo-powder metallurgy) process guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good grindability and strength compared to steels produced by classical conventional methods. Despite the lower chromium content, this steel shows very good results in the area of ​​corrosion resistance. The handle of the Hold Out knives is made of G-10 – fiberglass. The surface of the handle has a rough texture and is not slippery even in sweaty or wet hands. This series of knives is also equipped with the unique Cold Steel® Tri-Ad Lock™ patent. The lock prevents the knife from closing automatically or unintentionally even after natural wear and tear over time.
