Description
Closing Knife CRKT Provoke Grivory 4041B.
Serve. and protect. The Provoke® Blue Metallic morphing karambit knife draws on ancient design but hides a futuristic secret. The first ever knife with Kinematic® technology, it stays neatly tucked away when in transit and comes to life when trouble strikes. Now made from Grivory® – a strong, lightweight, engineered thermoplastic – it’s lighter and more agile.
At CRKT, they consider designer Joe Caswell to be somewhat of a mad scientist. When they saw the sketches of what would become the Provoke—designed in Newbury Park, California—they knew it was destined to become one of the most innovative designers the knife world had ever seen. Modeled after a traditional karambit, the black hawk-style blade is made of stone-grade stainless steel.
The opening mechanism pulls the folder into the future, ready or not. Thumb pressure on the top bar sets off a chain reaction, causing the blade to spring into action while you keep a firm grip on the handle. It’s made from metallic blue Grivory, a super-durable, lightweight thermoplastic for easy transport and a seamless transition to everyday wear. In true Joe style, the pocket clip is also a world first, sitting almost completely flush with the handle and also activated with a light push of the thumb.
Provoke is powerful when called into service.
How kinematics work
Push your thumb into the upper crossbar – while your other fingers grip the handle firmly – and the blade springs to life and clicks into place. Slide the discreet lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retracts to its closed position.
A unique innovation: Kinematic® unfolds the blade with a thumb press
Easy sharpening : The high carbon stainless steel blade holds the edge well
Improved protection: Black stonewash is durable and ages well
Simple and durable: The injection-molded handle is impact-resistant
