After graduating from Clemson in 1977, he quickly rose through the ranks, specializing in military and collectible tactical fighters like our FE™ series. A member of the Knife Makers Guild since 1978, his designs – and golf swings – are all about perfection, taste and function.

Fast, powerful, portable. Jim Hammond’s original PSD earned its name (Particle. Separation. Device.) for its ability to cut through almost anything, anywhere. The PSD II brings the same capability to a smaller, more portable folding knife that shaves more than an inch off the overall length. You’ll still find the corrosion-resistant, fully reversible blade and assisted opening with IKBS bearings for quick and easy one-handed operation, but now in an improved design for everyday carry.
How assisted opening works
It’s held securely closed in the pocket, but initiate deployment and the blade opens with impressive speed for easy, powerful one-handed opening in the swing section.
