Description
CRKT Limited Edition Facet K254TM390 Folding Knife.
Ken Onion is known for its sleek and practical design and the K254TM390 is no exception. The angles and facets of the handle complement the thin design and angular shape of the blade. Equipped with CRKT’s IKBS ball bearing pin system, the blade racquets open like you wouldn’t believe. The blade is made from premium Bohler M390 steel for exceptional edge retention and has a satin finish. The inset frame lock uses a strong locking bar to secure the blade firmly. With the addition of a semi-deep pocket clip, the Facet is easy to carry without drawing attention or getting in the way.
This special limited edition version of the popular Facet design features a substantial improvement in steel and titanium handles with a fantastic “viral” design. Limited to 500 pieces.
About the knife designer
Ken Onion – “Although I have been an avid knife collector since childhood, collecting mostly stock knives and whatever else I could find, I was unaware of the custom knife industry until 1989 when I saw an issue of Knives Illustrated at my local drugstore. From there I found a local knife maker named Stan Fujisaka and begged him to teach me. I made my first knife in November 1991 and since then I have been in the trade recovering from back surgery in 1996 and decided to design a folder that was easier to handle than what was available and not a shooting blade. The result was the first assisted knife, which I called “Speed Safe” After finding out some information about the entire patent process and consulting with a lawyer, I obtained my first patent and created a completely new category of knives between manual and automatic.”
