In the process of developing our Carson line of special forces G10 M21™ models, it became clear that there was a demand for these models from coalition forces serving in a desert environment. These models have a Desert Tan blade and scales.

Like its black tactical counterpart, this knife shares a unique design offering the combination of features of the Carson SF series that military contract specialists demanded. It has a combination Razor-Sharp and patented (1) Veff™ serrated edge. The open design allows for two Carson Flippers to be built in, resulting in a true handle – hitherto rare in folding knives.

Blade and scales are non-reflective Desert Tan. The cutting-edge 8Cr14MoV stainless steel blade is coated with titanium nitride for maximum corrosion resistance. Branded double checkered thumb studs are standard. Opening and closing with one hand is quick and smooth.

The open InterFrame construction uses Desert Tan scales of G10 and stainless steel inserts with friction grooves. G10 is often preferred for its aggressive grip, light weight and insulating properties that make it cooler in the heat and warmer in the cold than metal.

It also features our automatic insert safety. Automated Insert Security is an innovation in locking insert security that has been taken to the next level. The automated insert lock sets the pin between the lock insert and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of security, making it less likely that the locking insert will come loose during use.

To close the knife, pull back the safety lever with the red button, move the locking insert and fold the blade to the closed position. Do you want one of the most secure security systems on the market? The selection is automatic.

All knives in this series feature clip options that allow for four-position belt or sling carry – tip up, tip down, left or right. (Warning: These knives are not designed to be carried in a flip-up pocket.)
