The Provoke® First Responder Morphing Karambit Knife is one of the first to feature Kinematic® technology, stays neatly tucked away when in transit and comes to life when trouble strikes. And multiple carrying options plus a glass breaker were designed specifically with men and women in uniform in mind.

Here we think of designer Joe Caswell as somewhat of a mad scientist. When we saw the sketches of what would become the Provok®—designed in Newbury Park, California—we knew it was destined to become one of the most innovative designers the knife world has ever seen. The hawkbill style blade, modeled after the traditional karambit, is forged from premium D2 steel and coated with black titanium nitride for high durability and excellent edge retention. To better equip the men and women in blue, we added a glass breaker to the tip of the frame and added a holster with multiple gear mounting options to the Provoke® First Responder.

The opening mechanism pulls the folder into the future, ready or not. Thumb pressure on the top bar sets off a chain reaction, causing the blade to spring into action while you keep a firm grip on the handle. It is made of 6061 aircraft aluminum for maximum rigidity. In true Joe style, the pocket clip is also a world first – it sits almost completely flush with the handle and also activates with a light push of the thumb.

The Provoke® First Responder is strong when called into service.

How Kinematic® works

Push your thumb into the upper crossbar – while your other fingers grip the handle firmly – and the blade springs to life and clicks into place. Slide the discreet lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retracts to its closed position.
