Description
Emerson Apache SF Closing Knife.
Some of the most feared Indians of the American Old West were the Apache tribes. The most famous of these was a group of warriors led by Geronimo, a native Apache from the Bedonkohe tribe.
Geronimo was one of the last great warriors of the Indian Wars, who was finally captured on the 4th. September 1886. He was captured with a Winchester rifle, a Colt pistol and a Bowie knife.
When I was designing the Emerson Apache, there was something about the look and feel, the “vibe” of this knife that called “Indian” to me. It was primitive, rough and tough. I named it Apache. I later found out that when Geronimo finally gave up one of his last and most valuable possessions was his Sheffield Bowie knife.
This knife was just meant to be. When you pick it up, you can almost hear the creaking of the well-worn leather and smell the sage in the warm breeze. And you can feel the unbroken spirit of one who will fight to the bitter end.
