Dagger Herring is one of the most popular military knives among fans. Its original name is Fairbairn-Sykes or Commando Dagger and it was presented in the combat formation of the British Commandos. A dagger that went down in the history of our country in the Second World War thanks to the tricks of the young soldiers of the 1st Reconnaissance Squadron “Folgore”, who were equipped with this weapon during Operation Herring. A dagger that has behind it a heroic piece of history that is little talked about, despite the dedication and courage of these young boys, wrote an important page of Italian history. Extrema Ratio wanted to pay homage to this dagger while maintaining the original design using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques. The unique hand treatment of the handle imitates the aging of brass and gives the dagger an old look, similar to the original one. The dagger was developed in collaboration with the 185th RRAO and adopted as a ceremonial commemorative dagger for the regiment’s 20th anniversary and 75th anniversary of the Herring mission.
