The Expedition series knives offer the same reliability and high quality as any other Extrema Ratio tactical tool provided to military special forces and law enforcement agencies.
Kreios Expeditions was developed and designed in collaboration with master advanced instructor Daniel Dal Canto, who called it the “off-road” of clipped instruments. Its design is not just for a specific use, but is an extremely versatile multi-purpose tool for a wide range of outdoor activities.
Thanks to their ergonomics, weight and size, the Kreios Expeditions are highly effective at carving paths through dense foliage, especially while maintaining a safe distance from thorny or otherwise dangerous vegetation. Due to its robustness, it is also excellently used as a heavy field work machete for tasks such as felling trees or chopping firewood.
The length of its 12” ¾ “full flat” cutting edge combined with an 11° downward grip angle of the blade and a hefty 22 ½ oz. weight provides exceptional cutting ability and very high tensile stress tolerance. Contemporary geometries and materials combine with Malaysian and African traditions into a heavy-duty field work tool that doubles as both a defensive and offensive weapon in a pinch.
The Kreios Expeditions has a desert forprene handle and a BÖHLER N690 (58HRC) steel blade with a MIL-C-13924 polish and a stonewashed finish (DARK STONE finish).
Comes with desert corduroy shell with MOLLE system, safety shoulder strap, mini bladder containing paracord with flammable fiber for use in emergency and/or severe weather conditions, and Firesteel for starting a fire.
