Description
Fixed Knife Extrema Ratio MK2.1 BLACK.
A classic revised tribute to a war veteran: the MK2.1 is a restyling of the MARK 2 combat dagger, one of the most widely used knives of World War II. Our goal with such an ambitious design project was to preserve the distinctive features of the original, while introducing only those changes that we considered strictly functional for its better efficiency. The blade is made of cobalt steel, AISI 303 and AISI 304 are used for the other parts, and nylon reinforced with glass fibers replaced the leather on the handle. It retains the ergonomics of the original Mark 2, while all the construction parts have been oversized for a robust and high-performance multi-purpose knife. The most significant changes are aimed at fixing the known “weak points” of the mother knife: these include the ability to disassemble in the field without the use of tools, a straightened modified Bowie profile for easier maintenance of the edges and cylindrical grooves on the handle both help the user to correctly orient the blade in the dark and improve the user’s grip when twisting (“screwdriver” effect). Minor additions include safety lanyard holes in the pivot and rod attachment holes on the front cover. Our usual Extrema Ratio “side groove” has replaced the traditional blood groove filler for a better look and reduced weight. Includes standard thigh jacket with automatic retention mechanism and protective flap. Available versions: MK2.1 BLACK, MK2.1 DESERT WARFARE.
