Fixed Knife Muela IBEX-8.OL

IBEX-8.OL handmade, compact knife from the Spanish manufacture Muela. The goal was to create a handy but reliable knife with a light weight for any outdoor use. Versatile, perfectly balanced with an all-over design with a blade made of X50CrMoV15 steel, it delivers tremendous cutting performance. Aimed at bushcraft, survival and hunting enthusiasts.

X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) – molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. It is used in the manufacture of knives, cutting edge cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a relatively high hardness for stainless steels of 56-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel was enriched by doping 15.0% chromium, 0.80% molybdenum, 0.20% vanadium.

Blade – Drop Point type, thickness 3.6 mm with good mechanical properties and long-lasting sharpness. The smooth blade (Plain type) was made with a concave grind (Hollow Grind). Satin finish (semi-matte) that eliminates glare. A serrated, profiled undercut Finger Choil between the handle and the blade makes the knife easier to control.

Handle – covered with olive wood paneling with a unique design. Profiled under the hand provides a perfect grip when working. Spinal belt increases comfort and grip.

Scabbard – hand-sewn, made of high-quality brown cowhide with an embossed manufacturer’s logo. The edges of the case are stitched with decorative thread. Prym type snap closure. The belt attachment allows the knife to be carried in an upright position.
