Fixed Knife Muela IBEX-8M.

IBEX-8M handmade, compact knife from the Spanish manufacture Muela. The goal was to create a handy but reliable knife with a light weight for any outdoor use. Versatile, perfectly balanced with an all-over design with a blade made of X50CrMoV15 steel, it delivers tremendous cutting performance. Aimed at bushcraft, survival and hunting enthusiasts.

X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) – molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. It is used in the manufacture of knives, cutting edge cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a relatively high hardness for stainless steels of 56-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel was enriched by doping 15.0% chromium, 0.80% molybdenum, 0.20% vanadium.

Blade – extremely sharp Drop Point shape ideal for all kinds of hunting work. Satin smooth Plain blade with hollow ground for lower weight and excellent cutting performance. A large finger projection makes it easy to guide the knife for precise work. For better grip, the tips of the fingers and part of the back of the blade have been widened.

Handle – made of gray-black micarta (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin). Beveled edges on the covers eliminate sharp edges for a comfortable grip. The covers were bolted directly to the yoke, making the overall structure very stiff and durable.

Scabbard – hand-stitched, made of high-quality black cowhide with an embossed manufacturer’s logo. The edges of the case are stitched with decorative thread. Prym type snap closure. The belt attachment allows the knife to be carried in an upright position.
