Fixed Knife Muela SCORPION-18NM. The SCORPION-18NM is a multipurpose field knife with a massive blade for tremendous cutting performance and a comfortable handle. Versatile, perfectly balanced, designed for bushcraft, survival and hunting enthusiasts. 420H – high carbon martensitic stainless steel with increased carbon content (C) from 0.17% to 0.23%, also containing chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo) offers high hardenability in the range of 54-58 HRC as well as strength toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content creates chromium carbide compounds that provide wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for the production of cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments. PTFE Black – Widely used in the coatings industry, polytetrafluoroethylene is an ultra fine, low molecular weight product processed by a special process. It is characterized by excellent chemical and weather resistance and temperature resistance, thermal stability, non-stickiness, electrical insulation, fire resistance and self-lubrication. Thanks to the use of polytetrafluoroethylene as the coating material of the blade, friction during use is reduced, reducing the need for force in all types of work. PTFE-coated blades provided 22% lower average force and 26% lower peak force compared to chrome-coated blades. Blade – with a modified Clip Point profile, covered with a black matte and non-reflective PTFE coating resistant to scratches. Made of stainless steel 420H with increased carbon content and high impact strength, hardened in the range of 54-58 HRC. The soft rubber handle guarantees a very good grip, the knife does not slip out of the hand and a firm and sure grip allows you to perform precise work with the blade.
