Description
Closing Knife Maxace Killer Whale MKW202
The Maxace Killer Whale 2.0 is an original knife with a Clip Point blade from Maxace. The blade of the knife is made of new ASP-60 steel in BlackWash treatment. The axial node of the knife is made using ceramic bearings. The handle is made of titanium and has a textured surface for a safer grip. Equipped with a pocket clip, the “Killer” also has a two-pocket zippered nylon case, a microfiber cloth, a full set of spare screws and a spare lock nut.
Blade steel ASP-60. is a high-performance high-speed powder steel produced by the American company Erasteel (subsidiary of France Eichmann Group). It consists of 6.5% cobalt, vanadium and tungsten, as well as 7% molybdenum, 4.2% chromium and 2.3% carbon. Due to the presence of cobalt, the steel has improved high temperature properties (such as red hardness and tempering resistance), compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. ASP steels are suitable for a wide range of tools and components, such as cutting tools, cold forming tools, saws and knives, automotive components and wear-resistant components.
The handle is made of titanium. In the knife industry, Ti6Al4V is the most commonly used titanium alloy and has excellent mechanical properties. It is considered to be the strongest and toughest titanium alloy. At the same time, the material is very light.
