Ernest Emerson has been making knives since 1979 and has earned a reputation for producing some of the most sought after tactical knife designs on the planet. The CQC7 is perhaps the most famous of his designs and the coil spring Pro-Tech version will be built to the exacting standards Emerson is known for. The action is super strong yet smooth. It has a nice kick to it when the blade is engaged. The Emerson/Pro-Tech CQC7 was first seen outside the shop at the PKA (Professional Knife Maker’s Association) show in Denver, Colorado, where it won the Best Collaboration Award. This version is a special edition model created for the 2024 SHOT Show in Las Vegas and features a 3.25″ 154CM beautiful smoke gray DLC tanto blade with dark green aluminum grips.
