Ernest Emerson has been making knives since 1979 and has earned a reputation for producing some of the most sought after tactical knife designs on the planet. The CQC7 is perhaps the most famous of his designs and the coil spring Pro-Tech version will be built to the exacting standards Emerson is known for. The action is super strong yet smooth. It has a nice kick to it when the blade is engaged. The Emerson/Pro-Tech CQC7 was first seen outside the shop at the PKA (Professional Knife Maker’s Association) show in Denver, Colorado, where it won the Best Collaboration Award. This special BLADE Show Texas 2024 model features a stone spear blade made from CPM-20CV stainless steel with a regular V-cut, black aluminum handles and an improved deep pocket wide clip.
