Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of America’s top secret special operations force – known as MACV – SOG – carried a unique secret knife into the jungle on covert missions. A few years later, in 1986, this knife inspired a young designer named Spencer Frazer to found SOG Specialty Knives. Its mission: to reproduce the original SOG Bowie knife and pay tribute to the special operations unit that created it. What started as a single commemorative model soon became a whole line of innovative tools – proven by US Special Forces, even awarded as the Navy SEAL’s knife of choice. AT-XR LOCK

SOG’s patented XR lock with Assisted Technology (AT) provides quick one-handed opening and a firm lock once opened.
