Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of America’s top secret special operations force – known as MACV – SOG – carried a unique secret knife into the jungle on covert missions. A few years later, in 1986, this knife inspired a young designer named Spencer Frazer to found SOG Specialty Knives. Its mission: to reproduce the original SOG Bowie knife and pay tribute to the special operations unit that created it. Three separate systems address conductors from fine multi-strand cables to cables. On the back is a stripper bar for wire sizes 10-22, an adjustable spring loaded UTP/stripping wire and just in case, our patented stripper hole that uses the main blade. Schematic grips, high tension tower clip, thumb stud insulator and socket engraving blade are signatures that make this knife very unique. Without Kilowatt … you can end up in the dark!
