In the production of blades, the Muela company uses various types of steel, e.g. 12C27 Sandvik, 14C28N, molybdenum-vanadium steel MOVA 60 with a hardness of 57-61 HRC, Inox 1-42 steel with a hardness of 54-58HRC. Blades marked 440 are made of Mova-60E steel. Muela Damascus knives are the result of a combination of two steels, namely RWL34 and MPC27, which have a hardness of 57-62 HRC.
