K390 MICROCLEAN, produced by Bohler-Uddeholm, is a state-of-the-art cold forming tool steel produced by a particle metallurgy process. Its advanced alloy compound has been specially developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength required in industrial cutting, punching and punching applications. Despite its toughness, the exceptionally fine, homogeneous microstructure is also easy to machine and heat treat. Together, these properties make K390 an excellent blade material for true steel connoisseurs. Spyderco is proud to feature it on some of its most popular models, which also feature distinctive blue handles.

Note: K390 is a high-performance stainless steel that can rust if not properly cared for. Always clean and dry the blades after use and apply oil or other anti-corrosion products if necessary.
