Spyderco Squeak (non-locking) C154PPN Locking Knife

Manufactured in Maniago, the Squeak SLIPIT is a Spyderco safety-less, one-handed opening knife called the SLIPIT. It is designed for legal restricted carry in locations where locking knives is prohibited.

The blade is fully ground and made of Austrian Bohler-Uddeholm N690Co steel. N690C0 is a high carbon steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity resulting in better edge retention and sharpening ability. Textured webbing is machined from the blade spine and blade for increased slip resistance.

The blade of the Squeak is held in the open position when cutting by a knurled joint on the blade pin. When closing the blade, the notch generates resistance functionally similar to a traditional sliding pocket knife and serves the additional function of smoothing the blade’s opening motion. Increased control and comfort Spyderco designers add deep finger vibration, naturally moving the index finger to a position on the underside of the blade directly under the thumb. Placing the index finger in this choil blocks the blade from accidentally closing while cutting and provides a grip position that allows the user to choke closer to the blade for greater dexterity.

The handle is FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) and designed for user comfort, whether in the hand, with an ergonomically textured handle, or in the pocket with a double-sided flip-up wire clip into a deep pocket.

All of the charity’s operating costs are covered by the sale of pink shirts with their organization’s logo. These shirts are also the foundation of the “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” campaign, a national campaign to raise awareness of women as one of the world’s most valuable resources.
